Minimalist Tiny House

The shape of this UFO-inspired minimalist tiny house is indeed spaceship-like.  It certainly doesn’t blend in easily with all the more traditional Alpine farmhouses! However, inside it is warm and bright.

The 485 square-foot holiday home was designed by architect Peter Jungmann, “Ufogel” as it’s called, takes its name from its resemblance to a UFO and a vogel (which means bird in German).

Inside it’s clad with Larch wood from top to bottom.  This makes it seem cozy, not cold. The house is set up on stilts to maximize the stunning view of the  Tyrolean Mountains.

Strategic window placement floods the house with natural light spectacular views.  I love the sunny window seat.  The idea of enjoying a sunny cap nap in that spot is very appealing.

I like the stainless steel countertop in the kitchen and the compact wood stove as well. I  only wish it had more windows throughout the rest of the house to capture more of those views!
