Off Grid Tiny House

In true self-reliant style, this off grid tiny house relies on its own water and heat sources, including rainwater collection for showers and oil lamps for light.

The cabin is constructed mainly from local wood.  They utilized a cantilevered deck and a garage door that opens to capture the view of the valley below.

The stilts not only level the cottage, but also keep local critters out since the cabin isn’t occupied full time.

This one-bedroom cabin called “The Shack at Hinkle Farm”, is located on land that until recently had been farmed for hundreds of years.  Now, it’s been allowed to return to nature.

When the door is open, it seems to double the size of the room.

With no encroaching neighbors or buildings to destroy the natural view, the setting is very beautiful!   I’d be happy to “rough” it here anytime!
