From a storage shed to a tiny boat house: The transformation is stunning. It wasn’t without its challenges though. Due to zoning restrictions the shed was not allowed to be moved. So, Architect Albertsson Hansen carefully took it down to the shell, re-roofed with wood shingles, and installed new windows and doors.
A half-bath and kitchenette were added as well, along with a wood-burning fireplace. The end result was a recreation pavilion in the style of an English cottage.
The boathouse and the landscaping of the garden work together to make this space so inviting. The main house sits on the bluff above, are connected by wooden stairs down to the waterfront.
