Tiny House Built For Revenge

The history of this tiny house is steeped in mystery and rumor like something straight out of a Scooby Doo mystery – Jinkies! It was originally built in 1925, and one urban legend tells the story of a divorce settlement gone wrong when a local judge tried to send a message of some sort by awarding the husband the house and the wife the front yard.

The explanation widely held today is that it was a battle of egos over a land dispute. A man had a tiny pie-shaped corner lot up for sale.  The neighbor next store made a ridiculous low-ball offer and it offended the seller so much that he built the tiny house for revenge to spite the neighbor.  The  neighbor eventually ended up moving.

And now it is all part of Seattle folklore and tiny house history.  The 830 sq. ft. house recently sold after being on the market for only a few weeks.  The asking price of the house was $397,500! Zoinks Scooby, mystery solved.
