A California Tiny House was stolen right out of their yard, repainted and listed on Craigslist for sale! The tiny yellow playhouse was recently won in a school raffle. It was loaded it onto a trailer and placed it in their yard.
When the family noticed that the trailer and house had gone missing, they turned to social media and asked everyone to keep an eye out for the tiny house.
Shared more than 400 times, the post grew in popularity across social media and it wasn’t long before Facebook sleuths found a listing on Craigslist for the missing house. Although it had been painted a new color, it still sat on the original trailer.
Straight out of a Dateline type episode, the Kern County Sheriffs department set up a buy for the house and soon it was home, safe and sound.
